Mission
Hometown Pride is committed to nurturing lasting cultural and economic vitality in small towns, enabling each community to thrive rather than just survive. Established in 2012, this initiative provides participating towns with five years of funding for a Hometown Pride "coach." These coaches, trained by Keep Iowa Beautiful, collaborate with local leaders and volunteers to urgent community needs. In partnership with the Iowa Economic Development Authority, program seeks to improve the physical, cultural, and economic dimensions of towns, thereby enhancing community pride.
